Updates.com is an unreliable website that through the use of related PC infections such as adware and browser hijackers may show an unwanted pop-up update messages and advertisements on a computer system. When visiting Updates.com or similar questionable websites, usually because of unwanted browser redirects to it, computer users may be shown a banner-type pop-up message which may claim that they need to update their Web browser or install the Flash Player, Java, or other program. In reality, the downloads offered by the pop-up notification created by adware and browser hijackers pertaining Updates.com may not be related to the real Flash Player, Java, or other software. Updates.com was designed with the aim to probably gain benefit from raised traffic of an untrustworthy website and ad and message clicks.
