Video Downloader (Video Downloader Virus), also known as VideoDownloader Virus, Video Download Virus, is a potential PC threat that may carry adware and browser hijacker characteristics. New Player may use advertising tactics such as an auto installation or browser diversions with the aim to install itself onto a PC and insert itself into Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome Web browsers as an add-on, plug-in, browser extension or Browser Helper Object (BHO). When installed, Video Downloader may come bundled with free software such as Social Privacy DNS, block PC users from accessing the Internet, show annoying pop-up ads and divert computer users to suspicious websites such as Search.conduit.com. Video Downloader may also collect the PC user's browsing details and send and use them for the purpose of delivering targeted advertisements.
