Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The Web Updater is adware that offers you assistance with downloading updates for the other programs. This application should, supposedly, notify you about all newer versions, which should, in turn, improve the performance of your PC. Although such feature may seem appealing to you initially, the experts don't recommend installing the Web Updater. The negative aspects of this application are several. First and most important, it is not a good idea to load it for security reasons. Nothing verifies that this adware will download updates from official platforms, which are guaranteed to be safe. If it completes the process from other pages, some of the newer versions may prove to be unsafe. The second reason to avoid this program concerns the modifications that it may cause to Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. As a typical ad-supported application, Web Updater may insert additional pop-ups, banners and videos in the sites you are visiting. It also may put big advertising windows on top of the pages that you wish to view, which is an approach called 'interstitial advertising.'
The presence of so many unwanted ads may soon enough become annoying. While the intentions of the people behind the Web Updater are not to harm the performance of your browsers, the multimedia ads may use a lot of resources to load. Their existence may make the operating speed noticeably slower. If you open a few tabs at the same time, these ads may even lead to a few-second freeze. It shouldn't be a surprise if the offered coupons, vouchers, and discounts are relevant to your wishes because they may be based on your surfing history. Once again, it may not be a good idea to click on them in terms of security. The Web Updater may be difficult to disable, so the specialists advise to proceed to a full system scan with a reliable anti-malware solution.
