Win32:KillApp-W is a Trojan that contains backdoor functionalities enabling it to log screenshots, steal personal information, gain access and take control of the infected computer from a remote location. Win32:KillApp-W is able to stop running programs. Win32:KillApp-W mainly targets security applications, such as anti-virus and firewall. Win32:KillApp-W spreads via spam emails, malicious websites and links. Win32:KillApp-W needs to be executed by a PC user to infect the affected machine. Local infection may be transferred through removable devices, floppy drives, and DVD-ROM. Once executed, Win32:KillApp-W starts an attack that changes various settings on the infected computer system. Win32:KillApp-W also downloads potentially malicious files and modifies the Windows Registry to execute typical payload every time you start a PC. Win32:KillApp-W can compromise your privacy by stealing confidential information, such as user names and passwords.
