WNet is annoying adware that is explicitly created in order to generate web traffic towards sponsored pages. To achieve its goal, the Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) creates ads that are to be seen on the majority of sites. They may be popping up messages, banners or hyperlinked text and many people find them intrusive. Usually, WNet may come without the knowledge and the consent of the user. The reason for this is because WNet gets installed together with another program. The bundling method misleads many users to load undesired applications because the information about it can only be seen in the Advanced installation guide. The provided ads are likely to become more accurate as the time passes because WNet monitors the browsing history and adjusts accordingly. People who witness these ads should consider removing WNet in order to guarantee the safety of their computers.
