Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K is a visual basic script worm that can proliferate to a computer by using various means. Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K can spread via malicious links that come from social networking websites and spam email messages that carry infected attachments. Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K can be distributed and access the computer system with the help of Trojans. Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K can also propagate through USB removable drives, floppy disks and unsafe network connection. Once installed on the computer, Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K creates a copy of its code and makes changes to the registry entries so that it can run automatically every time Windows is started. Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K also creates additional registry entries so that it can run automatically the malicious code after the computer user logs on to the PC. When executed on the computer, Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K collects personal data about the PC (disk volume serial number, user name, PC name, installed operating system and programs and security apps) and the victim and transfers it to remote attackers. When this data is received and analyzed, attackers reply and instruct Worm:VBS/Jenxcus.K to carry out malicious actions such as download and install other malware infections, control the computer, update itself and remove the infection by itself.
