The Mac OS X is an operating system that is targeted by high-profile or low-profile cyber-threats rarely. However, this does not mean that the users of Apple computers and laptops are not prone to experience some issues that dubious software can cause. One recent example of this is Yadbazelet, a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that is available for the Mac OS X. The original purpose of this software is unknown so that it is safe to assume that it is not being propagated via legitimate methods and, instead, its authors rely on deceptive tricks to get more users to download and install Yadbazelet.

The only noticeable change that the users of Yadbazelet may notice is that their Web browser’s configuration might be changed. This PUP is known to replace the default new tab page of Web browsers with Search.yadbazelet.com – a harmless change, which some users might find annoying since this website is unlikely to offer the same reliability and features as other popular new tab pages.

The removal of Yadbazelet is not mandatory, but it is certainly the recommended action when dealing with a program that offers nothing of value and, instead, just tampers with your Web browser’s settings. We recommend using a suitable Mac security utility to eradicate the files linked to Yadbazelet automatically.
