'YOUR LIFE IS AT RISK' Email Scam

Posted: September 14, 2020

Con artists have no shame when it comes to running online tactics – they will not hesitate to accusing you of cheating, watching pornography, or even lie by telling you that you have been framed as the person behind a crime. Needless to say, receiving such a fake message in your email inbox can be a very scary experience, especially if you are relatively new to the Internet and not familiar with the cons of this sort. One of the latest and bold online tactics is the 'YOUR LIFE IS AT RISK' email scam. Its recipients are told that the senders are owners of a Dark Web-hosted website and are specialized in executing non-deadly attacks on behalf of their clients.

The con artists carry on by saying that you are one of their latest 'targets,' and you may end up having strong acid thrown in your face. However, they refuse to release details about the person who ordered the attack and, instead, they propose – pay them $1,000 to forget about it and give you the details of their client. Just like other fraudsters, the ones behind the 'YOUR LIFE IS AT RISK' email scam also want to be paid via Bitcoin – an option that would make it impossible to track the funds or reverse the transaction.

You can rest assured that email threats like this one are not serious, and the persons behind them are anonymous con artists who send thousands of these messages a day. Unfortunately, it is not an eas chore to find the perpetrators of such tactics, and this allows them to become bolder and bolder with their threats. If you receive a copy of the 'YOUR LIFE IS AT RISK' email scam (also known as 'I have a website in the Dark Web, I perform all kinds of services' scam), you should ignore it and report the sender. Under no circumstances, agree to pay the fee mentioned in the email.
