Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Your Updater by Installer Technology is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that you should not keep on your PC. There are various good reasons not to authorize its installation or to delete it afterward. In theory, Your Updater should inform you when there is a new available version for your other programs. Allegedly, this way your PC should become more secure and reliable. Although the experts recommend keeping your applications updated at all times, this PUP is not the right tool for the job. First, nothing guarantees that the programs that Your Updater recommends to you are safe. For example, Your Updater may modify them or include additional suspicious tools in their installers. Second, this application is ad-supported. Your Updater may create many new commercial materials in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. The third reason not to keep Your Updater is that it is not stable. The PUP may displays various error messages all the time. Without any doubt, the most annoying issue of this suspicious software is its possible interference with the performance of the browsers. While you may ignore its pop-up error messages and decline to install the suggested newer versions, it may be hard to neglect the commercial materials that may be displayed by Your Updater. You may find large amounts of pop-ups, banners, interstitial ads, embedded videos and in-text ads whenever you go online. The distraction that they may cause is not even the most severe issue. The new ads may lead to annoying functionality problems with the browsers, including slower operating speed, freezes and crashes. The most threatening aspect from a security point of view is that Your Updater sometimes may redirect you to potentially unsafe sites. To prevent infections, you should not agree to install any software from its promoted pages. It is advisable to use advanced security software to eliminate this PUP.
