There is a reason you may never find ZX Player in the list of the most popular and reliable media players. This dubious application is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP), whose cons outweigh the pros heavily. Its developers advertise it as software with built-in codes that can run various media formats. The creators of ZX Player go a little too far and claim that their tool can launch even damaged video files. The official product page that hosts this PUP is hard to find. Not all people who can locate the questionable media player in their systems have downloaded it from there. It may use third-party free applications to enter. While the frequently selected 'Quick' menu may indeed spare you a few moments, it may not display detailed information about additional components. As long as you install freeware through the 'Advanced' or 'Custom' guide, you can keep PUPs like ZX Player away from the PC. The fact that this media player may not provide the promised features is not the only reason not to keep it. It also may modify all present browsers in a pretty adverse manner. Whenever you launch Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer, you may notice some extra pop-ups, banners and in-text ads. The PUP also may place suspicious and unknown search platform as your homepage. All of the changes that ZX Player may make may try to bring you to affiliate sites. Since there is a chance for some of them to pose a risk to your PC's stability, it is better to ignore the commercial materials. Some users report that they encounter problems while trying to delete ZX Player on their own, which means you should use an advanced anti-malware solution.
