Security Applications
Security applications are used to detect and remove computer parasites. Various types of security applications are specifically designed to detect a certain type of parasite such as a virus or spyware. Some security applications have the ability to proactively protect computers from infection using advanced heuristics in addition to notifying the computer user of detected threats.
