Second Monitor not Working
Adding a second monitor to your workstation can be a great way to increase your productivity and the amount of information you have on your screen. However, connected a second monitor may sometimes require some extra work to make sure that the display works correctly. If your second monitor is not working, then we recommend trying out the troubleshooting tips below:
Check the Hardware
Make sure that the second monitor's power cable is plugged in properly on both ends. Also, check if the cable connecting the monitor to the PC is not loose. If you are using a new cable that has not been tested before, then we suggest using an HDMI, DVI, or DisplayPort cable, which you already know works.
Update Graphics Card Drivers
Outdated drivers may sometimes fail to detect new hardware. We recommend applying the latest graphics card driver update either manually, or by using automated driver maintenance software.
Check Windows Settings
Right-click your desktop, and select 'Display Settings.' You will see a graphical representation of your connected displays – if you only see one, then the second display is not identified yet. Click 'Detect' at the bottom to force Windows to try and discover more displays.
