Contraviro Description

Contraviro is a fake spyware remover and a clone of the rogue spyware remover Unvirex. Using scare tactics to intimidate you into purchasing the full version of Contraviro, these include such things as fake system scans that display numerous fabricated infection results, along with non-stop and annoying pop-up ads and false security alerts. However, what is important to note, is that the threats listed by Contraviro are typically legitimate programs, and if you were to delete them, you would be causing serious damage to your Windows system.

All of this is used in order to persuade you to purchase the full version of Contraviro, thus wasting your precious money.

Be very careful when uninstalling Contraviro. Contraviro plants a networking DLL, Layered Service Provider (LSP), in your PC. LSPs can be used to track your system network traffic and act on that information, and if you delete an LSP you may also delete your network connection.
