Posted: February 12, 2010

XP Guardian 2010 is a rogue anti-spyware program that may cause the system of the affected computer to slow down. XP Guardian 2010 communicates with a remote server to download and install more threats. Prior to this, a Trojan associated with XP Guardian 2010 will infect the computer. This infection will redirect the Internet browser to a website where a copy of XP Guardian 2010 will be downloaded and installed on the computer. XP Guardian 2010 will then start producing warning alerts and messages showing how the computer is populated with viruses. A prompt to remove these threats by having the full version of XP Guardian 2010 is followed. Do not fall for this trickery and have XP Guardian 2010 removed using a reliable malware remover.
