Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

DigiCoupon is a form of shopping assistant adware that displays advertisements in your browser and is designed to prevent you from uninstalling DigiCoupon easily. As if that last attribute weren't enough to paint DigiCoupon as an unwanted program, malware experts officially categorize DigiCoupon as a Potentially Unwanted Program, due to the difficulty of disabling its advertisements and the dubious benefits they provide to DigiCoupon's audience. Deleting DigiCoupon completely and without any unnecessary frustration necessitates that you use at least one good PC security program that's designed to remove PUPs and/or harmful software.
The Coupons that Do Everything Possible to Stay on Your Computer
DigiCoupon is an adware program that tips its hand rather forcefully; although DigiCoupon is marketed as a beneficial program with positive features for its users, everything about DigiCoupon's structure, behavior and distribution makes it obvious that its real benefits to its users are, at best, extremely questionable. From the point of view of malware researchers, the most significant of DigiCoupon's characteristics are its use of randomized folder names and persistence after any attempted uninstallation. These traits make removing DigiCoupon far more difficult than it needs to be, confounding PC users who are unequipped with strong PC security software.
As befitting its classification as an adware product, DigiCoupon also loads advertising content directly into the Chrome Web browser. DigiCoupon's advertisements, which are formatted as online shopping coupons, usually will not include unsafe content but aren't sorted for preferable prices that would have a high benefit to its users. Other browsers, such as Internet Explorer and Firefox, aren't modified by DigiCoupon's advertising changes, although they may be vulnerable to effectively identical adware.
Instead of launching pop-ups, DigiCoupon's advertisements are inserted into any Web pages that you already are browsing, either as overlays or injected content. Since these modifications may make it difficult to participate in all of a Web page's content, malware analysts often discourage using programs that modify a Web page in this manner.
Doing Digital with Less DigiCoupon Coupons in the Way
DigiCoupon's advertisements aren't meant to harm your computer, which doesn't undoubtedly ward them off from being exploited for distributing PC threats. With its built-in security concerns and its overall poor handling of uninstallation, DigiCoupon is classified as a PUP whose extermination should be considered best for your PC in all circumstances. Just as with any program that makes an obvious effort to hide its files and settings changes from deletion, deleting DigiCoupon should be done with dedicated anti-malware applications that can detect DigiCoupon without being confused by its stealth use of gibberish file paths.
DigiCoupon was widely seen in 2013, though malware researchers have observed other variants of adware for quite a few years prior to DigiCoupon's first appearance. Defenses against all of the standard distribution tactics in use by DigiCoupon and other PUPs usually requires a mix of both good behavior on the part of the PC user and the presence of reliable anti-malware protection. Avoiding sites with adware-riddled histories and scanning files prior to launching them are the simplest ways to keep DigiCoupon from being saddled on your browser through a compromised installer.
