Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Windows Basic Antivirus is a rogue anti-virus application that uses virus-riddled scans and a range of different fake alerts to make you believe that multiple types of PC threats are attacking your computer. This is just the startup phase of a fraud, however, since SpywareRemove.com malware experts have found that Windows Basic Antivirus is unable to detect or remove viruses, in addition to being damned by its strong resemblance to other forms of scamware with the FakeVimes designation. Besides being a hoax of virus security, Windows Basic Antivirus is also a direct threat to your computer's security, since Windows Basic Antivirus may also hijack your web browser, block unrelated programs under false pretenses or replace critical system tools with its own (and fake) utilities. Naturally, it's recommended that you get rid of Windows Basic Antivirus the very instant you see the first of Windows Basic Antivirus's pop-ups, hopefully with a suitable anti-malware program that's capable of removing Windows Basic Antivirus without side effects.
Why Windows Basic Antivirus's Security is Even More Basic Than It Wants You to Think
Windows Basic Antivirus may appear to be a multifunctional anti-virus scanner with anti-phishing features, firewall control and other sophisticated options, but that's because Windows Basic Antivirus is a shame that's copied straight from the template of other members of the Rogue.VirusDoctor group. These fake anti-virus scanners don't have even one of the many features that they pretend to possess, although Windows Basic Antivirus and similar PC threats will do their best to trick you with fake alerts, fake scanner results and other forms of inaccurate system info.
If you've acquired a Windows Basic Antivirus infection, there's not much that you can do to stop Windows Basic Antivirus from displaying these warnings, since Windows Basic Antivirus will launch itself without your consent and try to remain active in Windows. Windows Basic Antivirus may also display automatic scans that indicate that a range of viruses and other PC threats are on your computer. However, these PC threats don't exist, and you should never buy Windows Basic Antivirus to remove them – instead, removing Windows Basic Antivirus, itself, will solve your Rogue.VirusDoctor-derived problems. Equal caution should be taken around Windows Basic Antivirus's clones – including Privacy Guard Pro, PrivacyGuard Pro 2.0, Extra Antivirus, Fast Antivirus 2009, Presto TuneUp, Windows Security Suite, Smart Virus Eliminator, Packed.Generic.245, Volcano Security Suite, Windows Enterprise Suite, Enterprise Suite, Additional Guard, Live PC Care, PC Live Guard, Live Enterprise Suite, Security Antivirus, My Security Wall, CleanUp Antivirus and Smart Security.
Serious Functions That You Don't Want Propping Up Windows Basic Antivirus's Shame
Real functions from Windows Basic Antivirus, while in existence, are definitely not associated with virus removal or other security functions for your PC. Instead, Windows Basic Antivirus can directly attack your web browser and other applications in the following ways, which are designed to promote Windows Basic Antivirus and make it difficult for you to delete Windows Basic Antivirus properly:
- Most dangerously, SpywareRemove.com malware researchers warn that Windows Basic Antivirus may deny you access to basic Windows tools (for example Registry Editor and Task Manager) by replacing them with fraudulent utilities of its own.
- Independent programs may be shut down without your consent, with Windows Basic Antivirus implying that they've been damaged or infected.
- Browser redirect attacks may start to control your web browser's behavior; for example, by redirecting you out of anti-malware sites or to Windows Basic Antivirus's site.
