With many having different opinions and perspectives on the whole situation, hackers are taking a high road to expose the Ku Klux Klan leaders (KKK) by hijacking of their twitter account and taking down the kkk.com website.

In the midst of highly publicized and controversial events, hacker groups tend to have a strong opinion of them and set out to virtually attack their adversary. As such, the hacker group known as Anonymous took the task of battling the KKK in a manner that is all-too-familiar to us as we have witnessed firsthand how hacker groups have attacked other entities based on political propaganda.

Anonymous has been a major force to be reckoned with in the past and they continue their so-called duties to protect what they believe in. In a recent video message, Anonymous exclaimed, "The aim of our operation is nothing more than cyber warfare. Anything you upload will be taken down, anything you use to promote the KKK will be shut down."

In Anonymous' attack on the KKK, it is a reaction to the threats made on November 12, nothing to do with the white supremacy group's beliefs. From the time of the KKK taunting the hacker group after reclaiming their twitter page, Anonymous has kept on a course to expose the KKK leaders.

The video below a the statement published by the Anonymous hacker group, utilizing the same format that they usually broadcast for the reasons behind their attacks. Make of it what you will, cyberwarfare is alive and real.

Hacker groups are always at the forefront of disrupting services, attacking large company websites and from time to time, take over twitter accounts belonging to someone or some group that they profoundly disagree with. In the situation with the KKK, Anonymous ushered several name-calling sessions while the KKK responded with other words calling the hackers out as cowards. The complete ordeal gets rather comical at times for some.
