Antivirus Scan Demo (or AntivirusScanDemo) is a rogue anti-virus program that uses Trojans to penetrate a system. Antivirus Scan Demo uses misleading system scans to scare users into purchasing the program. The rogue emlpoys corrupt video codecs downloads bundled with Trojans, e-mail spam attachments, fraudulent or questionable websites, misleading advertisements, malicious links found on social networks, browser hijacking attacks, "poisoned" search results, and other aggressive tactics to spread.

Antivirus Scan Demo comes with dangerous Trojans that exploit browser security holes, so it can enter a system while the user is unaware. These Trojans produce bogus security alerts after performing a system scan which reports numerous malware infections. The fake security alerts redirect users to a rogue website which provides the paid licensed version for AntivirusScanDemo.

Antivirus Scan Demo basically tries to trick unwary computer users into believing that their computer is infected with all types of malware. Antivirus Scan Demo does not have the ability to a detect and remove malware. Use a reliable anti-spyware program to remove Antivirus Scan Demo from your PC.

Ok, make sure your AVG or spyhunter's database or it is at its latest version. Try to scan again, and if it can't remove it, try safe mode
