ScreenshotThere is a spam message circulating over the internet with the subject "Bank of America Alert: Online Access Suspension Message". This new scam is a fraudulent message designed to mask a Bank of America notification where if you follow the links within the message it will redirect you to a malicious website where your information may be stolen.

If you do not have a Bank of America account then a "Bank of America Alert: Online Access Suspension Message" email should raise a red flag. It is the computer users who do have a Bank of America account who may end up falling victim to this scam. The web page that you may be redirect too from the "Bank of America Alert: Online Access Suspension Message" email link looks similar to a normal Bank of America website. This is part of the clever tactics that hackers perform which could lead to identity theft.

It is best to scan your system with a spyware detection tool if you have clicked on a link in a malicious spam message such as the "Bank of America Alert: Online Access Suspension Message" email.

    Got this alert in email the other day. Clicked on the link in the email and pop-up and porn site with online games. really sick stuff. going to scan for malware on my PC now with that malware scanner spyhunter. wish me luck.
