Dangerous Virus

Posted: April 24, 2008

Dangerous Virus is the Trojan name that appears on fake error messages made by trojan makers to threaten and trick you into buying rogue anti-spyware applications like Malware Bell.

You're not really infected with an 'Dangerous Virus', but, instead, you're infected with a Trojan that's found on fake video codecs. Most of the fake video codecs that are circulating on the Web are infected with a Trojan called Trojan.Zlob. If your computer displays an 'Dangerous Virus' error message similar to the example below, you may be infected with Trojan.Zlob. Do not click on the 'Dangerous Virus' error message and do not download any product it recommends.

Dangerous Virus error message:

System Error!

"Your system is infected with dangerous virus!

Note: Strongly recommend to install antispyware program to clean your system and avoid total crash of
your computer!

Click OK to download the antispyware. (Recommended)"

Thank you for the instructions. Since I never Down loaded this anti virus it is a real bother and it keeps popping up in some of the worst places. If it is this much trouble with out a down load it must be hell for the ones that do a down load. Thank you again. Anne Cole
