Email-Worm.Win32/Tanatos.M, alternatively known as Tanatos.M, is a damaging worm virus that blocks security system functions in Windows and drops further threats onto the hijacked system. Generally, and as its name implies, Email-Worm.Win32/Tanatos.M is installed on the system via corrupt spam e-mail attachments, or via pornographic related web sites. Once inside, Win32/Tanatos will slow down your PC and install damaging .exe and .dll files, in addition to downloading and installing other malware.
