Homepage worm

Posted: March 28, 2006

Homepage worm, or VBS.VBSWG2, is an email worm first reported on 2001. Homepage worm spreads itself as an email attachment bearing the subject line "homepage" and the email message "Hi! You've got to see this page. It's really cool ;o)". The email attachment file is called homepage.html.vbs and it's written in Visual Basic language.

If the Homepage worm attachment is accessed, it sends a copy of itself to each address in your address book and displays pornographic websites on the user's computer.
