PCenter

Posted: May 22, 2009

PCenter is scareware posing as anti-spyware software. Like other scareware, PCenter spoofs system scans and alerts to trick you into thinking you are infected with badware. What's the point? PCenter wants you to waste your money on the "licensed" version of PCenter.

If you see a PCenter popup, the only thing you've got to worry about is your sanity. PCenter alerts go on and on and on, but likely the only threat on your system is PCenter.
