Rootkit.Pakes.or

Posted: April 15, 2009

Rootkit.Pakes.or is a form of software that is incredibly sneaky, and reminiscent of James Bond-esque gadgetry. Rootkit.Pakes.or is used to cloak the presence of files and data in order to evade detection, while allowing an attacker to take control of your computer without your informed consent. Scary, huh?

This type of technology is used primarily by malware including viruses, spyware, Trojans and backdoors, to conceal them from malware detection software such as anti-virus and anti-spyware applications. By bypassing holes in a PC's security system, Rootkit.Pakes.or is highly dangerous because of its ability to infiltrate your computer without your knowledge, and once inside your system, this is when the fun really begins. Rootkit.Pakes.or creates a connection to your PC whereby a hacker is able to gather up personal information on you while simultaneously sending you large amounts of malware and spyware.

It is important you remove Rootkit.Pakes.or from your computer as soon as it is detected. No small feat, considering its main function.
