Windows Defender 2010

Posted: January 21, 2010

Windows Defender 2010 is a rogue anti-spyware program that performs fake system scans and displays warning messages to lure you to purchase Windows Defender 2010's full version. Windows Defender 2010 prompts users with warning messages and popups that state that you are infected with spyware in an attempt to get you to buy Windows Defender 2010's commercial version. Another tactic used by Windows Defender 2010 is to perform system scans that show false positives. Windows Defender 2010 is not a legitimate spyware removal tool and should be terminated immediately if detected.

How do I turn Windows Defender "off " and "on" when I need it? I don't want to delete it entirely. If my other ant-virus program fails, i want this as backup. There should be a simple way of doing this.

Also, I notice every time I restart my computer all my anti-virus programs - Bit defender and Windows Defender must be turned on again!
