ScreenshotAntivirus 7 is a rogue anti-virus program that reports false threats and displays fake security alerts on your PC. Antivirus 7 does this to convince you that your computer is infected with malware. This fake program is promoted and installed through the use of Trojans and often comes bundled with other malicious software. Antivirus 7 is part of a blatant scam used to con you into paying for removal of infections which don't exist. Remove Antivirus 7 and all associated threats using an updated anti-virus program.

Followed your manual instructions but found we had to delete \"AV7\" rather than \"anitvirus 7\"
The icon for AV7 was still on the desk top and listed in programs but we were able to use the uninstall on the AV7 and the listing in Programs & the icon on the desktop were then removed.
    Thank you very much.

  • tomp5331 says:

I have seen this many times because someone is going to inappropriate sites or clicking on an email they had gotten usually from someone using "Firefox." These people had used a credt card to "buy" the softtware. There was nothing in the registry, a 200k file in "programs" that did nothing and 4 nudie site icons on the desktop. I saw it happen the one time, let it finish, could not close the web page, went to download it and when it came up with the download page, canceled it then. Could also when it is happening, push and hold the power button to kill it off. The one who used their credit card called the credit card company and canceled the payment. Reported it to the U.S. government site on intenet scams. If you have to call a credit card company to cancel payments, close the account and get a new card. These people had charges after doing this that they did not make and closed the account after.

  • J. Paul Lanier says:

I removed Antivirus 7 from a friend's Vista pc by reverting to a previous Restore Point from the boot-up Recovery Console. Other methods (Uninstall, System Restore from booted Vista, Console) had been disabled by Antivirus 7. Even Internet access had been disabled.

  • NotQuiteRight says:

I was surfing the internet and it just started downloading on its own. I absolutley hate the random popups telling me I have non-existant viruses, infections, etc. When I open Add Or Remove Programs, AV7 (Antivirus 7) isn't there. I've opened up the start menu and clicked programs... under AV7, there are two files. One is labeled Antivirus 7 and the other uninstall. I've tried "uninstalling" it but clicking Uninstall, the program just opens. I've already downloaded multiple Anti-Antivirus software but they all want me to be something. I'm not stupid. I don't care if it's a trusted program, I'm not buying things on the internet. My question is...:

Is there a way I can get it off of my laptop without downloading or buying anything?
