Barboza Ransomware

The Matrix Ransomware family continues to provide low-skilled cybercriminals with the ability to create and use a unique piece of ransomware in a matter of hours. The latest malware project to be based on Matrix is called Barboza, and, unfortunately, victims who fall victim to its attack will have a very difficult time when it comes to restoring access to their data. Recognizing the Barboza Ransomware's attack is easy, because it will make a noticeable change to the names of locked files by adding the suffix '-.[barboza40@yahoo.com].' It also drops a ransom note called '!_!WHERE-IS-MY-FILES!_!.rtf' on the desktop.
