Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Beastlyrics is a musically-purposed adware program that offers lyrics to accompany any music videos you may watch in your browser, but also modifies your browser's settings to let it show extra advertisements. Beastlyrics doesn't endanger your computer to the same level as a Trojan or other threats would, but Beastlyrics's advertisements may be security hazards, and malware researchers consider deleting Beastlyrics (or any other adware) to be best for establishing the safety of any PC. If you're interested in being certain that all of the advertising changes caused by Beastlyrics really are erased, choosing reliable anti-malware or anti-adware tools to smooth over Beastlyrics's removal also is more than recommended.
Beastlyrics: Blaring Commercial Jingles While You're Singing Along
Although many streaming video sites provided their own subtitles for lyrics, the software industry has had a tight grip on the regular creation of new lyrics-providing add-ons for almost as long as these sites have existed. Beastlyrics is one of the latest examples of these semi-redundant add-ons, with some others including LyricsPal, LyricsOn, Adware.LyricsKid, LyricalParty, SingAlong and ElectroLyrics Like all of these, Beastlyrics is genuine in the features that Beastlyrics provides, but also requires that you pay a price in return: allow Beastlyrics to show additional advertisements.
The most common adware function likely to be implemented by Beastlyrics is the injection of unrelated advertising banners or hyperlinks into Web pages that weren't intended to display them. However, Beastlyrics also may launch pop-ups, delay the loading of a site to display a full-window advertisement or modify your browser in other ways. Malware experts haven't confirmed incidents of Beastlyrics using these functions for deliberately unsafe purposes, thus categorizing Beastlyrics as a Potentially Unwanted Program, instead of as a threat.
Relaxing the Advertisements of a Browser Beast
Despite its including some minor functions that you may find helpful, Beastlyrics, overall, provides very little of benefit to your PC, and certainly doesn't provide advantages that would be commensurate to its advertising functions. Besides being a likely problem for your browser's stability, Beastlyrics advertisements also may be a source of phishing attacks, fraudulent updates and other hostile content which malware experts have seen thrive on adware-promoted advertisement sources. Reducing any unprotected interaction with Beastlyrics's advertisements and, eventually, removing Beastlyrics from your browser completely is in the best interest of your PC's security.
Anti-malware and anti-adware products can be helpful both for detecting Beastlyrics before Beastlyrics is installed as well as removing Beastlyrics (and its browser settings) without much effort or any risk of letting some browser changes remain installed. PC users who are in the habit of scanning installation files for Beastlyrics and other bundled adware products are much more likely to avoid getting surprised by pop-ups and other advertisements – although malware researchers would consider it best to steer clear of sites known for marketing such security-risky products, in any case.
