'Cyber Command of Illinois' Ransomware, also known as 'Cyber Command of Illinois' Virus, is an online scam recognized as ransomware, which attacks computer users in Illinois, USA. 'Cyber Command of Illinois' Ransomware is spread to vulnerable PCs by a Trojan Urausy. 'Cyber Command of Illinois' Ransomware uses a fake pop-up image/alert 'Attention! Your computer has been blocked up for safety reasons' supposedly sent by the legitimate USA security institutions in an attempt to trick target PC users into thinking they have committed cybercrime. A bogus pop-up warning message used by 'Cyber Command of Illinois' Ransomware states that the affected PC is locked because the computer owner has been downloading and dispersing copyrighted content, software, audio and video, visiting malicious websites and sending spam emails to other computer users. The misleading pop-up notification of 'Cyber Command of Illinois' Ransomware is created by the Trojan Urausy, which blocks the victimized computer system. To unlock it, 'Cyber Command of Illinois' Ransomware demands a ransom from victims of 300 dollars to be paid via MoneyPak or MoneyGram. However, the paid ransom will not help affected PC users to unlock the computer because 'Cyber Command of Illinois' Ransomware is designed by attackers to rip PC user off. The Trojan Reveton will completely block the targeted computer so that the victim is not able even to reboot it. Do not believe any information delivered by the fraudulent pop-up alert of 'Cyber Command of Illinois' Ransomware and pay the supposed ransom because you will face financial loss.
