ScreenshotErrorKiller is a rogue security program that gives false scan reports and misleading warnings. Once installed, ErrorKiller automatically launches on startup, scans the user's computer, and claims to detect "critical" errors, many of which are neither critical nor threaten damage to the system. ErrorKiller reports a significant number of such misleading error findings (e.g., up to 50 or more) yet offers the user the ability to fix a smaller number of errors (e.g., 20 or fewer) unless the user purchases the full version of the program to remove the remaining errors. In addition, ErrorKiller frequently displays pop up warnings, claiming "critical" errors on the system and trying to induce the user to purchase the full version of the program.
