ScreenshotExtra Antivirus is a fake anti-spyware tool from the FakeVimes family that is similar to other rogues such as Privacy Guard Pro, PrivacyGuard Pro 2.0, Fast Antivirus 2009, Presto TuneUp, Windows Security Suite, Smart Virus Eliminator, Packed.Generic.245, Volcano Security Suite, Windows Enterprise Suite, Enterprise Suite, Additional Guard, Live PC Care, PC Live Guard, Live Enterprise Suite, Security Antivirus, My Security Wall, CleanUp Antivirus and Smart Security. Extra Antivirus or ExtraAntivirus, could be downloaded and automatically installed from a Trojan infection being on your system. Usually once Extra Antivirus is installed you start to get several fictitious alert messages or popups that warn you of parasites infecting your computer. You must not fall for this scam because it is designed to force you into purchasing the full Extra Antivirus program.

Extra Antivirus as a trial version and full version will do absolutely nothing for detection or removal of spyware or any other type of computer infection. Extra Antivirus should be detected and removed with a spyware scan program that is designed to remove rogue anti-spyware applications.
