Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Internet Security 2010 is a deceiving application that attempts to scare computer users into purchasing a full version of the Internet Security 2010 program. Internet Security 2010 is related to other rogue anti-spyware programs such as Advanced Virus Remover in the way that it uses misleading popup notifications and bogus system scan results to make computer users believe that they need this security program to remove detected threats.
Computer users must understand that Internet Security 2010 is not able to detect or rid their system of parasites. Internet Security 2010 cannot be trusted. Once detected, it is highly suggested that Internet Security 2010 be removed with a reputable spyware removal tool to prevent damages to the system.

I'm having problems trying to get rid of the Internet Security program. I can't open the task manager it says that the file is infected. What can I do to get rid of this problem?
But what if you can\'t open the Task Manager, as in step 2 ?
This is a very malicious program. It appeared on one of my computers and I use AVG to detect it, but it may have been too late. I still cannot get my computer to work and may have to reinstall the OC and lose all the data.
Hi,
I can not delete "Internet Security 2010" files. It says the file is being used by another program. I can not open task manager is is blocked (shaded). I can not run it
using "run" option either it say"Task manager has been disabled by your administrator".
How do I get rid of this virus? Please help.
thanks,
Nil.
I've tried to delete IS2010 off of my computer, but it keeps saying that it is protected by other applications. Also, I tried finding the files provided, but I don't know what to put into the search box. Finally, I used spybot, systemsuite, and ad-aware, yet it will not pick up anything related to IS2010.
Please help me out!
This happened to me just as the article above says the only difference is instead of the $49.00 they were supposed to charge they charged $109.85and still have my card number this puts a terrible taste in your mouth about the internet as a whole I wish I had never heard of the internet
I've managed to delete all of the IS2010 programs and links, but am still getting "infected" messages when trying to edit my registry and haven't found a way around this yet. Also, what are these MD5s, how do I view them, and what am I supposed to do once I do? thanks for any help, this is virus driving me crazy.

Thank you so much for providing me with the intel required to eradicate the spyware. It had me going for a while that I actually did had 25 viruses, despite the fact that my antivirus program told me I had none. All your steps were easy to follow which allowed me to get rid of this spyware program with ease. Once again, thanks!

What can I, do to KILL this IDIOT?????
Cannot remove files or open windows task manager because this program doesn't allow it....
Here is one for everyone out there. My desktop (using laptop for this) was infected with the lovely IS2010. After the many suggestions seen on the internet for Spyware Doctor and other "free" spyware removal tools, programs or whatever they're called, I downloaded Spyware Doctor and ran a scan. It did in fact locate IS2010 along with other garbage and to my shock (sarcastic) in order to have it removed I have to pay...what happened to the "free" removal. Now that my computer is totally disabled I am beginning to think that the J-O's that advertise their "free" removal tools, programs and such are the same tools that are creating the havoc in the first place. To the creator of spyware, malware and future ware's not yet named I have four numbers for you to figure out...7625!
I have IS2010. It has blocked Task manager and Registry Editor and I can't remove the IS2010.exe as it is running continually. Malwarebytes does not seem to pick it up. Is there a straightforward way to get rid of this, maybe after booting in safe mode ? Thanks in advance for any advice. Chris.
this program has task mgr and regedit disabled ... I cannot open either! Help!
You make it sound so easy, the problem is when you try and run task manager you get a WARNING message stating "Application cannot be executed. The file is infected. Please activate your anitvirus software". I even tried running various process killing programs from reputable sites, but none seemed to work. Get tthat message every time, even when I try and run regedit
