Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Omiga Plus is a desktop organizer program that's promoted by sites with known ties to rogue system anti-spyware products like SpySheriff. Although Omiga Plus currently only is categorized as a Potentially Unwanted Program and doesn't appear to have many questionable functions, Omiga Plus may be difficult to uninstall and installed without your consent (either as part of a multiple-software bundle or as a drive-by-download). Omiga Plus isn't malware, but because of Omiga Plus's close ties with actual malware, malware researchers suggest avoiding installing Omiga Plus and using anti-malware programs to delete Omiga Plus or other programs from the same company if it's needed.
Omiga Plus: a Little Desktop Addition that Will not Get Out
Omiga Plus is a utility for managing the appearance and shortcuts of your Windows desktop. Omiga Plus doesn't include any questionable functions that SpywareRemove.com malware researchers have noted thus far and does perform its desktop functions as marketed. However, Omiga Plus also has a history of refusing to uninstall itself entirely and may leave its desktop changes on your PC even if most other components of Omiga Plus have been removed.
Potentially Unwanted Programs usually are independent products, but Omiga Plus is just one of several applications marketed by the same company that's responsible for SpySheriff. Since the latter is a confirmed rogue anti-spyware product that detects fake spyware infections as a way of encouraging you to spend money on its registration process, any programs related to Omiga Plus should be viewed as a potential threat by default. Omiga Plus, alone, is not likely to cause many problems, but may be installed along with other PC threats that may:
- Display fake system alerts.
- Snag other programs without your consent.
- Hijack your Web browser and redirect it.
How to Subtract Omiga Plus from Your Desktop
As stated before, deleting Omiga Plus is a less-than-straightforward process, and entirely removing Omiga Plus may require anti-malware tools or some assistance from a PC security professional. SpywareRemove.com malware researchers particularly encourage the use of extensive and complete anti-malware scans while removing Omiga Plus, since anything less than that could allow related PC threats to remain installed on your hard drive.
As an independent program, Omiga Plus is more of an irritant than a threat. However, applications from companies that are known to peddle malware never should be trusted – and anyone who wishes to reorganize their desktop is recommended to use more reputable tools than Omiga Plus for doing so.
Omiga Plus, as would be expected from its functions, currently is specific to Windows platforms such as Windows XP, 7 or Vista. However, fake anti-malware products that are related to Omiga Plus installations often will display some degree of compatibility with additional operating systems.
