ScreenshotPersonal Antivirus, or PersonalAntivirus, is a rogue anti-spyware program to come out from the company called Innovagest 2000.

Personal Antivirus is installed by a trojan called Zlob, which attempts to trick you into buying the alleged rogue anti-spyware program. Once you're infected with Zlob, a fake security message similar to a Windows notification pops up saying your PC is infected with malware. This Personal Antivirus message is used to lure you into purchasing, downloading and installing their program to remove the imaginary spyware.

Personal Antivirus may also automatically launch at your computer's startup and scan your computer. Personal Antivirus may be difficult to remove manually, and will continue to try to recreate itself. Personal Antivirus is a clone of Internet Antivirus Pro and General Antivirus, which are other corrupt distributed programs. Personal Antivirus should not be trusted and is recommended to be removed.

This site was really useful in knowing that i did have a rogue antivirus programme installed on my computer. Although the instructions were quite confusing, as during each step i wasnt quite sure which files were supposed to be deleted or stop processing. so maybe a few more simple and easy to follow instructions, but thanks alot anyways- i THINK ive sorted it, well not sure really, but thanks for the help you did provide anyways.

I was told that my ISP was infiltrated by this virus and they are trying everything to eradicate it, but they are having problems still. My ISP is Centel Telephone and the infected server is in Louisiana. I hope to be able to get this thing out of my computer without destroying it. I wish there was an easier solution, but I cannot work with this virus in my computer. Thank you for all of your information and I hope we can do business in the future.

  • shannon says:

My son downloaded this by mistake and it should be against the law for a compant to be able to trick someone into adding this antivirus to their computer by scaring them into believing that there is something wrong with their computer. It is hard to remove this program as it does not show up in the add/remove programs as other applications do. i am appalled and outraged that this behaviour is allowed to continue

  • Ryan Lively says:

Personal anti virus wont let me download your software what do I do???

  • Rachel says:

thankyou sooo much! this really helped me because i just got my comuter and this "personal antivirus" thing popped up saying i had a ton of "malicious trojans" and such. However, i have another antvirus thingy do (mcafee) and it said i was virus free... so i thought that this was some kind of advirtisment or a virus itself disguised as something else. So what i actually ended up doing was i left clicked on the little blue bar at the bottom of the screen (right clicked) and went to my task manager and at the to it has app. proc. perf. net. and users. and i clicked on apps. and it said i had these 2 things running (I might have had antivirus open) and i clicked end task and then... it disaeared cuz it was on my side menu and it popped up every minuteon the hour! thank you soo much for your help!!!!!!!!

  • carmen says:

My computer has been infected with this I do not know how I am going to get the virus removed anyone else out there?

  • Hu Lundberg says:

My Dell laptop using windows xp encountered (probably with my help) the Personal Antifirus program and it\'s caused an awful set of alarms and plugs to buy into it. I resisted, and went out and bought a personal copy of Norton Internet Security 2009. Was this a good start or will that application have no effect on this problem? I'm using an old MAC v9.2 to send this...the Norton is currently running a full system scan and might not even find this bugger....

  • ADougherty15@yahoo.com says:

Thanks for confirming what I originally thought. Personal Antivirus is a scam to try to get you to purchase their product!!!

  • Terry AJO says:

Hi, I accidently allowed "Personal Antivirus" to scann my computer, but did not activate the download. Now I constantly receive false warnings saying "Security Violation Errors" Is there a simple solution to remove these false warnings since I did not follow through with the down load activation?

    Terry AJO

  • Jared says:

So... How do i remove it? do i remove it by downloading that link?

  • Hadiyah says:

I cannot remove this evil little bug from my computer!!!
Whenever i go to a site that i didnt have problems with before,
a huge popup comes and says that there is melacious material on
that site! I just really wanna get rid of it, and do what i always do,
but i cannot do anything, yet get rid of this personal antivirus!
It says "continue unblocked", i click it, and it brings me back to the
    same exact page!!!
I believe this is a serious virus that needs to be destroyed, and i would
just love if you could email me and tell me what i can do without
    risking or damaging my computer!

    viruses, thank you.

  • Dont pay to remove personal anitvirus says:

go into my computer, program files, uninstall and unistall the personal antivirus from there no need to delete any of the above files it all disappears

  • Michele says:

Be careful with removing Personal Anti-Virus by yourself because it has a hidden component that re-installs itself! I bought Bit Defender to scan it beccause it tracks trojans as well as viruses. I would not reccommend handling this with out a computer tech support professional!
