Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

PngToPPTConvert is adware that displays extra advertising content in your Web browser while also preventing its users from removing PngToPPTConvert through either the browser's controls or the Windows Control Panel. Since the PngToPPTConvert does not include any features that would benefit your Web-browsing experience, removing PngToPPTConvert from your computer should be undertaken immediately in any normal situation. Although malware researchers have yet to categorize PngToPPTConvert as a genuine threat, exposure to PngToPPTConvert's advertisements may produce other security and performance issues for your Web browser over prolonged periods of time.
The Add-On that Converts Your Browser into a Money Maker
PngToPPTConvert is one of the many additions to a growing group of Chrome-based add-ons intended to generate advertising revenue while supposedly offering their users something of value. Although PngToPPTConvert's name implies that PngToPPTConvert includes legitimate file conversion functions for translating image files into PowerPoint ones, malware experts have not observed any cases of PngToPPTConvert backing up its marketing material. Other versions of 'Installed by enterprise policy' extensions are similarly fraudulent, although not to the point of being classified as threatening software.
The real functions of PngToPPTConvert that PngToPPTConvert leaves unmentioned are its features for delivering new advertisements to the Chrome Web browser, which, prior to the development family, traditionally has been considered one of the 'safest' choices in Windows browsers. PngToPPTConvert advertisements most often may be injected into unrelated HTML pages and displayed as banners or hyperlinks to the advertising partners. However, because PngToPPTConvert does not need your permission to update itself, malware researchers find it likely that PngToPPTConvert could expand its advertisements to pop-ups, browser hijacks and other functions in due time.
From PngToPPTConvert Advertisements to an Advertisement-Bereft Browser
PngToPPTConvert's fellow family members also share a meaningful trait: blocking their uninstallation from the affected PC. Since PngToPPTConvert will block deletion attempts from the Control Panel as well as Chrome, malware researchers recommend the use of specialized anti-adware equipment for removing PngToPPTConvert easily. Until you've wiped PngToPPTConvert and its advertisements out of your browser, your PC runs the risk of being exposed to an uncomfortable range of advertisement network-based PC threats, including various vehicles for delivering real threats.
The 'Installed by enterprise policy' Extension almost always are installed automatically. If you need to detect installers for PngToPPTConvert and related adware, anti-malware and anti-adware tools with file-scanning functions should be considered before most other options. Malware researchers also might encourage you to avoid free software sites with especially heavy reputations for dabbling in adware and other PUPs, which rarely have any long term benefits for Chrome – or any other Web browser.
