ScreenshotProtect Shield is a rogue anti-spyware program that utilizes Trojan horse parasites to install itself without the knowledge of a computer user. Protect Shield was created with the purpose to extort money through use of its aggressive deceiving techniques. These methods vary from misleading popup alert messages to fake system scan results.

Once Protect Shield is installed it is known to display security alerts that may look convincing to the average computer user. Once any of the popup messages are clicked on, it could easily redirect the web browser to a malicious site that attempts to sell a full version of Protect Shield. The full version of Protect Shield does not do anything more than the free version. Protect Shield is an unwanted program that should be automatically removed with a trustworthy spyware removal application.
