Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

SProtector is a component of a variety of similar Potentially Unwanted Programs and search hijackers, including WebSearch, MocaFlix, SoftQuick and Browse to Save. Although SProtector is marketed as a supposed improvement to your Web-browsing security, the real purpose behind this program is to make excuses for redirecting you to Websearch.mocaflix.com and other sites in the Websearch ring. Malware experts previously have encouraged victims of these search hijackers to remove all Websearch software with a reliable anti-malware program, and they recommend similar methods of deleting SProtector – since SProtector provides no benefits in exchange for its browser hijacks.
SProtector: Protecting You from the Right to Choose Where You Search
SProtector is a common add-on often found in combination with browser hijackers affiliated with the Websearch ring – a long string of separate Web domains that provide redirects to real search engines while tracking their traffic for revenue. Some of the sites in this ring include Websearch.just-browse.info, Websearch.a-searchpage.info, Websearch-soft-quick.info, Websearch.simplespeedy.info, Websearch.pu-result.info and Websearch.mocaflix.com.
Because these sites usually exploit unrelated sites for search results without any excessive modifications of the results, any brief exposure to these sites is not an immediate danger to your computer, but malware experts do encourage being attentive to the secondary search sites that they redirect you towards; these sites may be a greater danger to your PC than the original Websearch domain.
For its part in this search-redirecting scheme, SProtector is marketed as a form of browser protection that keeps your browser from loading potentially risky invalid Web addresses. However, SProtector achieves this by redirecting your typo-sabotaged website visits towards WebSearch-affiliated sites like the ones listed earlier in this article. Malware experts don't consider such browser-hijacking functions to be any kind of legitimate security measure and recommend removing SProtector along with any other WebSearch software related to SProtector.
The Protection You Need from a Browser Protector
SProtector may often disguise some of its components as basic Windows system files and usually will not remove all of its components or associated browser changes in the event of your attempting to uninstall SProtector through commonly-accepted methods. To be as sure as possible of deleting SProtector completely, SpywareRemove.com malware researchers encourage the use of anti-malware software. This is especially necessary since SProtector usually is accompanied by at least one other PUP from the WebSearch family.
WebSearch-related PC threats like SProtector rarely are very unsafe to your computer but almost always are pests that should be deleted to guarantee the further safety of your browser and its optimal performance. Software bundles and websites known for distributing Potentially Unwanted Programs are the easiest ways to get an unwanted installer of SProtector, although any good anti-malware program should be able to detect and remove SProtector before the installation is finished.
