ScreenshotSpyware Fighter, also known as SpywareFighter, is a rogue anti-spyware program which can be found on Spyware-Fighter.com. Spyware Fighter is not to be confused with SPAMfighter's SPYWAREfighter, which is a legitimate program found on spamfighter.com/Spywarefighter/.

Spyware Fighter uses a series of malicious mechanisms to trick you into believing you need to purchase Spyware Fighter's commercial version to get rid of your spyware infections.

Once Spyware Fighter is installed, it will run its fake system scanner and generates a list of spyware results. In order to remove these supposed infections, you'll be lured into purchasing rogue Spyware Fighter's full version. In addition, Spyware Fighter generates fake alerts stating that your computer is infected with malware. Spyware Fighter may be configured to run on every Windows startup.

I found Spyware Fighter had infected my computer and no matter how many times I tried removing it I never succeeded because it returned, unwanted, like a bad penny.

What made me suspicious was the inability of the designers of their program to properly spell the simplest words, starting on the front of their warning screen. They boldly displayed that I had 98 viruses on my system but they said i had 98 "Threads." They did not spell Threats properly. Then under the help key the first word in the menu was again improperly spelled. They had "Contens" instead of "Contents."

I am far from being computer savy but I do understand proof reading for mistakes and this poor attempt at passing themselves off as legitimate could be recognized by a beginner. I sure hope I can get rid of this snake in my system.
