Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

The TenchisTV Toolbar is a browser add-on that provides access to various streaming media websites, but also makes changes to your browser unrelated to these functions for the promotion of the Conduit search engine. The TenchisTV Toolbar may not be a Trojan, but malware researchers are in the habit of encouraging the deletion of all Conduit-brand toolbars, which may include minor security issues that could cause further problems, along with the traditional search hijacks. Benefits from the TenchisTV Toolbar can be acquired elsewhere, while deleting a TenchisTV Toolbar will provide you with the recommended level of control over your browser's basic settings, including those related to the homepage and default search engine.
The Browser TV with a Little Something 'Extra' in It
The TenchisTV Toolbar continues the Conduit LLC company's legacy of developing and distributing browser add-ons that have more disadvantages to their use than benefits. The TenchisTV Toolbar does provide some legitimate access to streaming media resources, but these resources easily can be found without the use of this toolbar. This makes the TenchisTV Toolbar's supposed marketing motivation a questionable one. Another drawback noticed by malware researchers is one that's common to most other Conduit-developed add-ons: the TenchisTV Toolbar's hijackings of your browser's search settings.
These hijacks redirect you from your default search engine to the TenchisTV Toolbar's Conduit search engine, which, while guilty of poor business practices, hasn't been classified as a corrupted website. This feature, along with the use of tracking cookie technology, is where the TenchisTV Toolbar's real purpose lies, and how the TenchisTV Toolbar generates profit from PC users hoping to find it easy to watch television through their browsers. The TenchisTV Toolbar's site offers instructions for removing its software and disabling different functions, but most users find that these generic instructions cause poor results that don't return their browser's standard functionality.
Turning Off the Web TV that's not Showing Anything Worth Watching
The TenchisTV Toolbar is neither a threat nor is the TenchisTV Toolbar especially original, with all of its characteristics already noted in past versions of other Conduit toolbars. However, even stale and derivative PUPs may create security issues for your Web browser. Because of this recurring problem combined with the fact that you easily can get the TenchisTV Toolbar's positive features from other sources without its accompanying exploitation of your search traffic, malware experts suggest deleting the TenchisTV Toolbar. The use of software removal utilities adept in deleting threats and PUPs also may be required, as a consequence of the typical intractability with which Conduit toolbars tend to face their eminent deletion.
On the other side of things, removing the TenchisTV Toolbar is only needed for PCs who've already been subjected to unsafe Web-browsing behavior. Illegal download sources and websites that tend to traffic in Conduit programs and other browser hijackers should not be trusted for file downloads. Malware researchers also find that suitable PC security programs can be a valuable help in allowing you to detect the bundles that tend to distribute the TenchisTV Toolbar and related PC threats, before your browser can be exploited.
