Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

UTAdRemovalApp is a new clone of previous 'Installed by enterprise policy' Extensions, such as Ytnoads or UtubbEAdRemmovalo. Like many other members of this family, UTAdRemovalApp specializes in modifying specific brands of Web browsers to load new advertisements through pop-ups and Web redirects. Alarmingly, malware experts also have seen UTAdRemovalApp and its close relatives using these functions to expose victims to some kind of attacks, either deliberately or coincidentally, which makes UTAdRemovalApp even more of a security threat than usual for adware. Any PC with UTAdRemovalApp should have UTAdRemovalApp removed immediately, with anti-malware tools used to analyze the overall system for any related threat attacks.
The Browser Extension Chameleon that's Confused Its Colors
UTAdRemovalApp is a new variant of old extensions for Chrome and, rarely, Firefox Web browsers, all of which are meant to gather revenue through advertisements or expose their users to unsafe Web content. The most threatening results of an UTAdRemovalApp-contaminated browser may include exposure to fraudulent patch updates that seek to install threats, but UTAdRemovalApp also may harm your browser's performance, hijack it or cause general issues with your Web-browsing settings. Currently malware experts only can confirm UTAdRemovalApp for the Chrome browser, even though some other, close relatives of UTAdRemovalApp have compromised alternate Web-browsing products.
UTAdRemovalApp also has another, especially noticeable characteristic of any 'Installed by enterprise policy' Extension: the fact that UTAdRemovalApp refuses to allow you to uninstall UTAdRemovalApp. Although you might be tempted to consider deleting Chrome in lieu of removing the UTAdRemovalApp, malware researchers consider it safest to take steps to isolate, disable and delete UTAdRemovalApp, rather than unassociated, beneficial software like your Web browser. Alternative means of avoiding UTAdRemovalApp may let you ignore its symptoms – but at the potential cost of your PC's long term security.
Somewhat amusingly, UTAdRemovalApp labels itself as a 'media player,' but has no known functions associated with appropriate media file playback. Its contradictory name and description provide some of the most obvious evidence that UTAdRemovalApp is a program that should be considered potentially threatening to your computer.
Removing the Adware App that doesn't Mean You Any Good
UTAdRemovalApp is categorized as adware, and, like most adware, risks your exposure to unsafe content that may cause additional harm to your PC. Although most adware programs can be taken on a case by case basis for their viability and drawbacks of prolonged usage, malware experts strongly recommend removing UTAdRemovalApp, which has close associations with threat-installing tactics and other security hazards. Because UTAdRemovalApp will not allow any normal uninstallation procedure to remove UTAdRemovalApp, the use of anti-malware products is advised to remove UTAdRemovalApp and to detect any threat that may have been installed through its browser functions.
UTAdRemovalApp uses methods of automatic installation, of which malware experts strongly suspect freely-downloaded software bundles to be the most significant. These bundles can be detected by appropriate security products. However, if you stay clear of sites and download networks with bad reputations for online safety, your chances of risking an UTAdRemovalApp installation should be drastically reduced, regardless of all other factors.
