WinZix is a corrupt file compression utility. WinZix is designed to compress computer files with a .zix extension. For proper decompression of these files the user must download and install WinZix. Though WinZix may seem a legitimate application, it comes bundled with Trojans and other malicious parasites. WinZix may propagate its zix files through BitTorrent network and other and file sharing programs.
