Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

what a scam. this file doesn't show up in 'add/remove prgms' - i complained and was given a 3 day 'activation code' and asked to please let them know which of 'their advertisors' planted this crap in my computer. i can't do ANYTHING w/o having a nag screen pop up. i am NOT amused.
Thank you so much for all your help. I was having alot of trouble with this program and thanks to you I was finally able to remove it.
I bought the AntiSpyware Shield and didnt realize until after a computer technician downloaded Norton virus removal that it was a scam. What should I do? Should I call my credit card company?
Vanessa,
You can try to call your credit card company, but the chance to get your money back is very low. The main goal of fake anti-spyware makers is to swindle out of the money from non-experienced users.
This AntiSpyware loaded onto a friend\'s computer has taken over the computer and turned it into a zombie computer. Completely taken over the IE browser and redirects URLs and searches to where it wants. After seeing this, I\'m not totally convinced that the SpyHunter Free AntiSpyware Shield Scanner will get rid of it. Could be another scam. Plus the directions above dont connect with reality. The AntiSpyware Shield Scanner Remove capability has been disabled. There is no way to remove based on Steps 1 & 2 because the program doesn\'t appear where they say it does. You can turn it off via the Task Manager but that doesn\'t remove it.
kristin,
Did you try to scan your computer with our Free SpyHunter scanner? You can scan your system and see the locations of the infected files. The next step what you have to do, is to boot your computer in Safe Mode and delete the infected files.
