Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

Mirar, also known as Getmirar, is an Internet Explorer toolbar that displays advertisements based on the URLs and has been reported to stealth install. It has the ability to hide, and then re-emerge, making removal very difficult. Once executed, Mirar drops files into several system directories and modifies the registry in order to register itself as a browser add-on. The program may also install adware SaveNow on your system.

none of these work. plz help. i still have this mirar toolbar in my window. also i cannot see any atatchments in my yahoomail.
Mirar has ruined my computer. The fact that one doesn't properly protect their possessions doesn't negate the fact that the thief is a thief. Mirar self-installed, turned the internet on by itself, sent unsolicited popups, and even goes to a porn site if you try to find their site to send them an email. At this point, I can't even turn on my computer to use Word. And it will take me $$$ and time to get rid of it. Why aren't these people shut down and thrown in jail? How about all the great honest computer nerds, geeks, and geniuses getting together and nailing these thieves? Let's find out the name of their company, their URL addresses, their street addresses, their phone numbers, their names, and their cars, then publicize it all to the world. If they're not thieves, then they ought to be willing to be responsible for their product and provide compensation for all the damage they've done to everyone.
It`s strange, my antivirus (also antispyware) does a scan of the system files every time I boot the pc and finds the mirar spyware/adware entries and says it has removed them, then the next time the pc starts it`s the same thing. I also tried to search in Files and Folder with the keyword "mirar", but I found nothing. I`m not understanding what is happening with my pc 🙁
Sara,
Do you often update your antispyware program? It may be that your antispyware program does not have the latest Mirar updates and this parasite comes back. Try to update your antispyware program, then boot your computer in Safe Mode, scan with your antispyware program and try to remove the infection. Sometimes it works from Safe Mode. If this won't help you, try to scan your computer with our free SpyHunter scanner. it will show the locations of the infected files. Afterwards boot your computer in Safe Mode and delete the infected files.
i can't remove it. i tried to search, but there's nothing. mirar suddenly is installed into my com.
The makers of Mirar are sad mother[REMOVED WORD]ers. You guys should burn in hell.
There is only one way to remove mirar. You have to wipe your hard drive and reinstall windows. I ran linux for nearly six months after I clicked on the add/remove mirar icon, because my system CDs were scratched and I had to send for more. From a computer geek, this thing is a killer and will also suck your system resources when it is unsuccessfull in finding an internet connection, that is how I first detected it in my machine. I noted sluggish preformance and I went snooping, and thought... "WTF is Mirar?"... and it was all over. When you click on add/remove it losses a trojan that is ten times worse, constant pop-ups, porn, and a complete system suck. If you don't have your system CDs get a professionals help and be sure to ask them if they have handled a Mirar case before. I have tried up-to-date spyware removal and anti virus and they will not remove it. Anyone reading this has my condolances and I wish you luck.
i bought the spyhunter thing and it raped MIRARS ASS its worth the $30 so if u get mirar buy this IT WORKS FOR REAL
It won\'t leave me alone! It appeared last night, I\'ve done scans and all the files have been removed (I checked in the regedit to make sure), but the tool bar is still there and nothing I do can get rid of it! It\'s on IE and it keeps opening things in firefox as well. I don\'t understand - all the mirar files are gone!
Mirar was installed on my internet explorer toolbar and I was unable to simpy uninstall it. I uninstalled my internet explorer instead and installed a different provider and I havent seen any more pop ups or trojans. Mirar is still on my computer but I have isolated it by cutting off its connection to the internet. As I did this i remained offline and changed alot of my interenet options especially in dealing with add-ons and downloads, before connection to the internet.
Help I have also been hit with this stupid...MIRAR TOolBar.... anyone have suggest or free software that will KILL this !!!!!!er.... So ..drivin me crazy.
12/06/08 I too have now been struck with this MIRAR Toolbar....can anyone help... pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....or have free software to kill this thing
Mirar appears on my add/remove programs list, but it won\\\'t let me remove it, and the keywords \\\"mirar\\\" don\\\'t apper in a search. My internet runs ridiculously slow and won\\\'t even run some basic scripts or even visit many pages. Any way to fix this?
I tried EXACTLY WHAT IT SAID and it WILL NOT go away!!!!!!!!! I don\'t even know how I got it?!?!
I need help getting the thing off of my pc,advise
I think if you have a "free" Limewire installed and you downloaded certain song file it turned out to be this freakin Mirar toolbar. I am deleting Limewire to see if it comes off. Other than that I'm screwed!! Do your self a favor don't download free songs!! I have learned my lesson over and over again this time I am going Listen!!!
well i had somehow downloaded Mirar on my computer, i went to add/remove programs and it sent me a trogan. my antivirus thing on my computer found it instantly and deleted it. than something popped up on my screen as a way to uninstall Mirar, so i clicked it. i do not have the toolbar on my internet explorer anymore and it seems that there are no popups but i am not completeley convinced that it is deleted from my computer. any thoughts?
Hi all.
After reading all these comments, I type this on behalf of my husband and he has this damn Mirar in his system. It causes constant screen freezes even when I type this message is taking longer.
I tried uninstalling as as people said above, the damn thing comes back again, its like a form of cancer that you cant get rid of. I did think of reading the instructions about going into registry files and deleting that way, but since I am not sure I wont as I dont know enough to do this.
I guess his only way is to completely reinstall all his pc again from scratch. Oh what a pain!
This thing is a disease basically to everyone.
this mirar thing is on my computer and its constantly having tings pop up on my screen and my internet connection is messing up can someone please help me and my Itunes sogs ound horrible now
I sympathise with everyone who gets this. I'm a retired IT Consultant but when needs must... Go into the registry (RUN : regedit) FIND : MIRAR In status bar it will show the registry entry ie., MAIN/INTERNET EXPLORER/{A723445667A88} if this is the correct Mirar entry, delete. When you have repeated all through the regedit, reboot pc. It will have cleared all. Regards
HEY before you go loading all this removal stuff, go to your system restore point right before this MIRAR got into your computer. Thats what i did and it erased it and everything connected to it. This just happened to me on 1-3-2010 so i hope this helps anyone who was suckered like me from a download.
Good Luck
I don't have any kind of mirar toolbar, it redirects my internet pages to things from mirarsearch.com. My antivirus/anti spyware software says nothing's wrong. I iped my computer once and it's back, I realy am about to give up if it keeps on me lol
I'm stuck with this stupid mirar thing too!!! Trying to remove it but having lots of trouble. I guess I'm not the only one either! ( enter swear word)
