Anti-Virus 2011

Posted: April 9, 2010

Anti-Virus 2011 is a rogue security program that offers the look of anti-virus functions, but none of the substance real products give to users. Rogue security programs like Anti-Virus 2011 are responsible for browser hijacks, disabled security programs, misleading pop-ups and overall security risks. Anti-Virus 2011's creators offer nothing except malware and the endangerment of your private information, so eschew giving rogue security product's website a visit and remove Anti-Virus 2011 in good haste to keep your computer hale and hearty.

The Turning of the Anti-Virus 2011 Scam's Gears

Computers that host an Anti-Virus 2011 infection will be plagued with extremely disturbing alerts that warn of serious system malfunctions. Although the content of these warnings can be frightening, they're actually not related to your computer's security at all!

Anti-Virus 2011 will probably block normal operations until you let it scan your computer at least once every time you reboot. You shouldn't be surprised if scanning results turn out to be equally negative; Anti-Virus 2011 makes zero attempt to detect infections or cure them. Such rogue anti-virus programs are likely to accuse innocent files of being infected, so you should be careful not to delete a file manually just on Anti-Virus 2011's say so.

Other typical symptoms of rogue anti-malware behavior threatening to your PC include:

  • Crashing security programs and other kinds of programs is important to Windows like the Task Manager and Registry Editor. Rogue anti-virus programs usually provoke crashes, making it difficult to delete Anti-Virus 2011 and other infections until you can stop them from interfering.
  • Changed system settings, especially with regards to your computer's security. Anti-Virus 2011 may tamper with your settings to make the infected machine more vulnerable to other malware attacks or to allow attacks by remote hackers.
  • Browser alterations that push you to Anti-Virus 2011's website and keep you from accessing computer safety websites. Almost all rogue anti-virus programs will incorporate some form of browser hijacking so that the user is forced to visit the rogue anti-virus product's homepage. This can also include simply changing the browser's default homepage.
  • Unauthorized registry changes. It's standard for rogue anti-virus products like Anti-Virus 2011 to corrupt the registry as a safeguard against being deleted and to enable themselves to run by default whenever Windows starts.

Be the Anti-Virus Solution to Anti-Virus 2011

At the very least, Anti-Virus 2011 will be an irritating infection with no advantages. At the worst, Anti-Virus 2011 may greatly damage your computer either by itself or by abetting other malware. Never associate with its website, and completely delete Anti-Virus 2011 if you've had the misfortune to install it.

Given that still-running malware will most likely block any anti-malware scanner's try at removing Anti-Virus 2011, the first step to take is usually disabling the malware. Safe Mode is standard practice for preventing Anti-Virus 2011 and similar rogue anti-virus infections from running automatically, but some infections with rootkit-based techniques may require hardier methods.

You make 1 error by accepting an email & stupid pop-ups pop-up trying to get you to purchase antispyware Virus 2011 & other software for only $59.99.
The guitly parties that sned email popups should be fined very steeply & pernamently shut down for business forever.
THEY SHOULD BE REPORTED TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
