Heavily reminiscent of the recently-noticed 'This website has been blocked for you!' Virus, the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus is another browser hijacker that disguises its browser-redirecting attacks as security protocols. A 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus infection will redirect you to a fake survey site that claims to be acting as a barrier against potential bot-based activities (similar to a CAPTCHA field), but the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus's actual point is to harvest your personal information through its fake surveys. Most importantly, you never should compromise any form of exploitable data by giving it to sites promoted in a 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus's redirects. SpywareRemove.com malware researchers also encourage removing the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus with anti-malware software as is necessary.

When Being Safe Means Ignoring a Security Warning

The 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus uses typical Hosts file-based modifications to your PC to allow it to redirect your web browser to unrelated sites – in the case of the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus, a singular site that displays a fictitious 'you have been blocked' error message. This message claims that you've been blocked from using the website in question temporarily due to 'malware-like' behavior. However, the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus's warning page isn't related to any legitimate site; its real purpose is to direct victims towards a fraudulent survey and file download.

The survey that the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus requests you to fill out isn't a real security protocol, but simply a means of gathering your personal information (e-mail address, phone number, etc) as furtively as possible. SpywareRemove.com malware experts also were displeased to find that the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus requests victims to download and launch a fake 'WebsiteUnlocker' executable file with admin privileges. WebsiteUnlocker.exe has not yet been analyzed, but most likely is a second form of malware, and launching it with admin privileges will hamper various security measures that would prevent it from attacking your computer.

Taking Down an Unjust Website Blockage without Losing Your Self-Respect

As malware, the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus doesn't need to be obeyed, and SpywareRemove.com malware experts especially encourage you to scan your PC after any contact with either the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus or files associated with the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus's fake error page. Information that's compromised through the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus's survey should be considered in criminal possession, and you should take appropriate actions, if necessary, to prevent this information from being further abused in the future.

Whenever your browser shows any of the symptoms of being subjected to the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus's browser-hijacking attacks, you should use anti-malware programs to delete the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus as quickly as possible. Although the 'You Have Been Blocked from Our Website' Virus's symptoms take place within your browser, its methods of achieving its attacks utilize basic system components that can't be corrected through any browser-specific changes.
