Threat Metric
The following fields listed on the Threat Meter containing a specific value, are explained in detail below:
Threat Level: The threat level scale goes from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest level of severity and 1 is the lowest level of severity. Each specific level is relative to the threat's consistent assessed behaviors collected from SpyHunter's risk assessment model.
Detection Count: The collective number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular malware threat. The detection count is calculated from infected PCs retrieved from diagnostic and scan log reports generated by SpyHunter.
Volume Count: Similar to the detection count, the Volume Count is specifically based on the number of confirmed and suspected threats infecting systems on a daily basis. High volume counts usually represent a popular threat but may or may not have infected a large number of systems. High detection count threats could lay dormant and have a low volume count. Criteria for Volume Count is relative to a daily detection count.
Trend Path: The Trend Path, utilizing an up arrow, down arrow or equal symbol, represents the level of recent movement of a particular threat. Up arrows represent an increase, down arrows represent a decline and the equal symbol represent no change to a threat's recent movement.
% Impact (Last 7 Days): This demonstrates a 7-day period change in the frequency of a malware threat infecting PCs. The percentage impact correlates directly to the current Trend Path to determine a rise or decline in the percentage.

THEEBlockeeR is adware that may be installed automatically via third-party tools like InstalleRex-WebPick. As an add-on to Chrome and Internet Explorer, THEEBlockeeR has shown itself to be no more than humble adware: software that displays advertisements in your browser, whether or not THEEBlockeeR has your consent. Besides harming your browser's overall performance, these advertisements also may be security problems, which is why malware researchers suggest that you delete THEEBlockeeR with anti-adware solutions before its advertisements can get out of hand.
THEEBlockeeR: Extending Your Browser's Capabilities in All the Worst Ways
THEEBlockeeR is one of a family of Chrome adware extensions that, occasionally, also include BHO components for Internet Explorer with similar functionality. Besides this family's history for being installed automatically and using random file names to hide its software in plain sight, THEEBlockeeRalso is a particularly prolific distributor of advertising content. THEEBlockeeR advertisements, like those of similar adware extensions, are injected into random Web pages automatically, without respect for any advertisement-management settings you might already have in place. In some cases, THEEBlockeeR advertisements also may subvert normal advertising content that already is part of a Web page.
THEEBlockeeR advertisements may cause your browser to load Web pages more slowly than usual, or interfere with your ability to interact with a website by modifying its format in unintended ways. Malware researchers predominant concern with THEEBlockeeR lies in the possibility of its advertisements including unsafe content, such as the threat-delivering fake Flash updates that thrive on adware-associated advertising networks. These kinds of attacks make any browser with THEEBlockeeR installed vulnerable to exploitation by threats, even though THEEBlockeeR is not categorized as a threat, by itself.
Reverting Your Browser's Synchronization with a Suspicious Advertisement Network
THEEBlockeeR is unaffiliated with any companies using normal software distribution methods, and malware experts tend to find THEEBlockeeR installed automatically, alongside other add-ons of equally poor reputation, such as Wajam and the Whitesmoke Translator. All-encompassing methods of guaranteeing the complete deletion of all programs related to THEEBlockeeR's presence may include some use of anti-adware scanners and other security software. If attended to properly and promptly, most THEEBlockeeR installations don't expand into major security threats.
Chrome especially is vulnerable to being modified by THEEBlockeeR and related adware programs. With new browser exploits being uncovered on an almost daily basis, even brands of browsers that pride themselves on being secure, like Google's Chrome, clearly are an imperfect replacement for having dedicated PC security software.
Some other members of THEEBlockeeR's extended family of advertising products include RemoVeThEAdAPp, PsdCheckEr, PngToPPTConvert, Ytubeadsremover and UTAdRemovalApp. In all instances, these adware products refused to uninstall themselves without anti-adware tools being used to rectify the situation by force.
